OTTAWA—Hundreds of people from the Vietnamese Community of Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa gathered at the Chinese Embassy here Wednesday May 28 afternoon with banners, VN & Canada flags and shouted anti-China slogans to protest the attempted deployment of an oil rig by a Chinese state-run energy company in well within its "exclusive economic zone," defined by the United Nations as areas extending 370 kilometers from a country's coast.               |
