Briefly, the Marion Dewar Scholarship Fund (MDSF) was established in 2009 by the Ottawa Community Immigrant Services Organization to honour the late Marion Dewar, former Mayor of Ottawa. The Scholarship Fund provides financial support to foster academic and leadership excellence among refugee and immigrant high school students by supplementing the tuition and supplies required for their post-secondary education. The MDSF is administered financially by the Community Foundation of Ottawa and overseen by the MDSF Committee. For more information about the Fund, visit the OCISO website at: www.ociso.org
